Position Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Account Executive to join our dedicated Harmer Consultants team. You’ll work closely with our Senior Recruiting/Delivery team to target and develop new accounts in the Fortune 1000 arena. Your main goal is to find, penetrate, manage new business, s and build up to 20+ consultants on your payroll.

Roles and Responsibilities for Account Management & Sales

  • Identify client list using any and every method; including but not limited to our internal database, Crain’s Chicago Business, industry articles and publications, LinkedIn, your existing network, company research, referrals, Chicago user groups, networking events, social media.
  • Account Management list will be used to market Harmer Consultants services to these clients/prospects.
  • Set and maintain a minimum goal for new appointments at prospective clients on a weekly basis. This is an outbound sales opportunity with the expectation of being on-site and visible with new and existing clients.
  • Meet with C-level/hiring managers regularly to generate new business and develop new accounts to increase sales revenues on a quarterly basis.
  • Identify new job orders weekly through sales calls and client visits – Qualify consulting needs, gather technical skill requirements, project timeline and interview process for skill based project needs. Account Manager will strategize with delivery team as to whether or not we can provide a viable solution for the client’s need.
  • Once the recruiting team identifies qualified candidates, the Account Manager is responsible for delivery to the client; submitting resume(s), managing client feedback, coordinating interviews and preparing candidates for client interviews.
  • Maintain, update and relay status for all open jobs on a daily basis with technical recruiting team.
  • Generate a high volume of annual revenues through contract & contract-to-hire hire IT staffing/consulting services projects.
  • Maintain all client and project notes into our Applicant Tracking/CRM System.
  • Keep updated with industry trends and social selling activities to reduce the time it takes to acquire new clients.

Qualifications:

  • 1-7 years selling IT Staffing/Staff Augmentation/Consulting services in the Chicagoland area.
  • A proven track record of exceeding goals, targets and quota consistently – we are looking for candidates who are at the top of their profession.

The DCS will utilize exceptional communication, technical accounting and relationship management skills to ensure that they are consistently exceeding client’s expectations. The ideal candidate will manage all aspects of the sales and client service lifecycle and have experience working in a fast paced environment for a high growth professional services firm.

Responsibilities:

  • Through a consultative business approach, the DCS will sell and deliver HFS’s accounting, finance and audit services to new clients
  • Partner with existing clients to understand their business issues and work on solutions to help drive client initiatives
  • Generate revenue by identifying project opportunities, fine tuning the scope of projects with clients, matching consultants skill sets with client’s engagements, presenting consultants to clients and negotiating pricing with clients
  • Manage and eliminate consultant downtime by communicating regularly with consultants and clients to understand project duration and roll off dates
  • Network with business professionals to develop long term relationships which lead to business opportunities for the firm
  • Develop and manage a business development plan in concert with the existing internal management team

Professional Qualifications:

We are seeking a Director of Recruiting to join our Chicago office. This position has primary responsibility for talent acquisition and management of Consultants in our Accounting & Finance practice.
